MLG Oz Celebrates Win at Kalgoorlie Business Awards

When esteemed Kalgoorlie mining contractor MLG Oz picked up the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (KBCCI) Goldfields Business Award for Business with 21 Plus Employees last weekend, it marked another milestone for Managing Director Murray Leahy and his team.

From its origins as a small Kalgoorlie contractor providing silica mining and haulage services for BHP Billiton in 2002, MLG Oz has built its way up to a comprehensive supply chain solutions provider, with 700 staff and a presence on 21 mine sites in Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

An independent and privately owned business, MLG Oz prides itself on providing an industry leading standard of operations across its projects.

The company works to a core philosophy that productivity and safety are intrinsically linked, and in order to achieve long term sustainability on a project both these factors need to be sustainable.

A partner to a number of significant organisations including Gold Fields Limited, Fortescue Metals Group, Ramelius Resources, Wiluna Mining, BHP, Newmont, Western Areas, Boral, FMR Investments, Westgold Resources, Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines, Northern Star Resources and Minjar Gold, MLG Oz has a strong track record of delivering just that.

The company also partners with the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder and the Shire of Leonora, and said it was proud to have been recognised by the KBCCI for its achievements at the 2020 Goldfields Business Awards.
