nib Health Insurance Discounts

MLG has teamed up with one of the largest health insurers, nib, offer a 12% discount to employees, as well as access to nib rewards and other great offers and benefits.

 

Prescription Safety Glasses

All personnel that are required to wear prescription safety glasses are entitled to one pair purchased by MLG per year (capped at $420.00).

Various Corporate Partner offers available with one of Australia’s largest banks, including refinance cashbacks and discounted annual package fees.

 

 

Paid Parental Leave

Primary caregivers are entitled to MLG’s Paid Parental Leave scheme, offering up to 20 weeks of gap payment, as well as ongoing superannuation and recognition of continuous service for the first 12 months of their leave.

Recognition Reward Program

Employees who live the MLG values are recognised and rewarded, with gift vouchers available every quarter, and the chance to go into an annual competition worth $500.

 

Loyalty Rewards

MLG recognises all employees who work with the business for 5 years or more, offering rewards at 5, 10, 15 and 20 years of service.

Interstate Travel

Certain FIFO roles** are eligible for interstate travel arranged and paid for by MLG. These employees have access to flights from their nearest capital city to Perth Domestic Airport, before flying to their designated site.

 

Employee Assistance Program

Employees and their immediate families are able to utilise MLG’s free and confidential EAP service, provided by Access Wellbeing Services. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Remote Area Travel

Salary sacrifice options are available to FIFO employees who currently pay for their own flights from their closest residential airport to a designated departure point. An Employee books the flight, and then MLG pays for the flight, which is then salary sacrificed from the following fortnights pre tax salary thus paying less tax.

 

Remote Area Housing*

MLG offers its employees Remote Area Housing salary sacrifice benefits. Currently all MLG work sites are in Remote Areas (except Perth).  This means that if you live & work in a Remote Area listed by the ATO, you may be eligible to claim interest or rent and utilities thus pay less tax.

Portable Electronic Devices

Salary sacrifice options are available (if eligible) for the purchasing of electronic devices such as Mobile phones, computers, laptops, smart watches, or tablets, if used in the course of your role at MLG.

 

Tools of Trade

If you are using tools directly linked to your role at MLG, you may be eligible to salary sacrifice the purchase of these.

Novated Leases

MLG have partnered with Fleetcare to Salary Sacrifice a vehicle via a Novated Lease. This is a three-way agreement between you, MLG and Fleetcare which enables you to salary package the cost of a vehicle and running costs to be paid from your pre-tax salary.

 

Relocation Costs*

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​MLG Employees may be able to salary sacrifice certain costs associated with “temporary or permanent relocation from their place of residence”, including relocation transport and removal and storage of household goods.

 

Compassionate Travel*

MLG offers eligible employees the opportunity to salary sacrifice travel costs for compassionate reasons.  These costs include transport and/or meals & accommodation connected to the transport.
