MLG’s Inaugural Apprentice of the Year Award was won by Anthony Babic from our Kalgoorlie Workshop. Anthony celebrated at dinner with Murray and Michelle Leahy, Mark Hatfield, Phil Mirams, Tiny Van Den Beld, Jeremy Foale, and his supervisors with a team of his apprentice colleagues to support him.
Our two runner ups included Flynn Sauer from our Edna May site and Zane Argent from our St. Ives site.
Nominations for the award came from each of our site’s Workshop Managers, whom described their apprentices as showing commitment to excellence, teamwork, technical aptitude, proactive attitude, reliability, problem-solving skills, and enthusiasm!
For winning this award Anthony was the recipient of a personalised recognition plaque, $250 in tool vouchers and gifted the opportunity to attend the WesTrac Applied Failure Analysis course in Perth, valued at $5,000, with flights and accommodation included.
This is a well-deserved recognition of his hard work and dedication. We wish Anthony all the best as he takes the next exciting steps in his career!
