Highlights from Diggers & Dealers Mining Forum 2025
The 2025 Diggers & Dealers Mining Forum was once again a standout event on the Australian mining calendar, and MLG was proud to be part of the action.
MLG proudly hosted our annual Management Meeting at the Melbourne Hotel, bringing together managers from across all of our operations and sites. This gathering was an important opportunity for our leaders to align, collaborate, and look ahead to the future of our business.
We kicked off the day with a lighthearted ice breaker. Teams were challenged to build a crane using only the supplies provided and test its strength by holding a maximum weight of minties for 60 seconds. The room quickly filled with laughter, friendly competition, and creative problem solving. It was the perfect way to start the day, showcasing the teamwork and determination that drive success across MLG.

From there, we heard from each of our departments. From Commercial, HR, and Safety, to Business Operations, Finance, Maintenance and more. Each presentation highlighted achievements, challenges, and opportunities, giving everyone a broader view of how our work connects and contributes to the bigger picture.
We were then joined by our Board members and Executive Leadership Team, who shared their vision and insights for the year ahead. Their perspectives reinforced our strategic direction and gave our managers confidence in the opportunities to come.

This year’s meeting wasn’t just about business updates, it was about strengthening connections. Managers had the chance to collaborate across regions and divisions, sparking new ideas and reinforcing the importance of working as one team.
We also took time to recognise the dedication of our teams, presenting awards and milestone gifts to managers who have reached 3, 5 and even 10 years with MLG. These moments of recognition highlighted the commitment and loyalty that underpin our culture and long-term success.

After a full day of discussion and learning, we wrapped things up with a sundowner at our brand-new MLG office. It was a fitting way to celebrate the day’s achievements, enjoy time together in a relaxed setting, and officially welcome our people into the new space.
The Management Meeting remains a highlight on the MLG calendar, reminding us that our greatest strength is our people. By coming together, sharing knowledge, celebrating milestones, and recognising achievements, we continue to build the culture and momentum that make MLG who we are.

Here’s to a successful year ahead — one powered by collaboration, innovation, and the commitment of our people to working as one team.
