The 2025 Diggers & Dealers Mining Forum was once again a standout event on the Australian mining calendar, and MLG was proud to be part of the action.

From the 4th to 6th of August, Kalgoorlie-Boulder welcomed over 2,500 delegates from across the mining sector, providing an unparalleled opportunity for networking, knowledge-sharing, and showcasing innovation. With 66 corporate presentations and 161 exhibitors, the forum delivered three days of valuable conversations and connections.

Resources Industry Charity Sundowner Hosted by Topdrill

The busy week started at Topdrill’s 2025 Resources Industry Charity Sundowner, held at Topdrill HQ and welcoming over 400 guests. Every cent raised on the night went towards the RFDS WA and Full Circle Therapies, supporting them in delivering vital services across the Goldfields. In total, $478,391.00 was raised on the night thanks to the generosity of all whom attended.

Inside the Forum

As gold prices surged by over 40% over the last 12 months, the industry sentiment remained strong and the atmosphere across the forum was energetic and optimistic. Kalgoorlie, as the heart of Australia’s resources sector, offered the perfect backdrop, combining its rich mining heritage with a strong sense of community and industry pride.

For MLG, the forum was a fantastic opportunity to connect with clients, industry peers, and potential partners. Our booth was a constant hub of activity, with our team enjoying meaningful conversations, meeting new faces, and catching up with long-standing contacts. The highlight for many visitors to our booth was our Raffle Draw, which drew an excellent response. Gathering all entrants at our booth at once filled the area with excitement and energy. Ending with Celebrations at the Gala Dinner

One of the most memorable moments of the week was the Gala Dinner, sponsored by WesTrac and The Perth Mint, where the industry came together to celebrate excellence. The prestigious Forum Awards recognised outstanding achievements in the mining sector:

  • Digger of the Year – Ramelius Resources

  • Dealer of the Year – De Grey Mining

  • Emerging Company Award – Turaco Gold

  • GJ Stokes Memorial Award – Peter Cook (Geologist)
  • Ray Finlayson Award – Mason Calter (Curtin University WA School of Mines student)

The enthusiasm and engagement from delegates throughout the week reinforced the value of being present at events like Diggers & Dealers. It was a pleasure to see so many people stopping by to learn more about MLG, share their own insights, and be part of the friendly, collaborative spirit that defines this forum.

We look forward to building on the relationships we strengthened in Kalgoorlie and continuing the conversations sparked at the event.
