Building Stronger Communities Across the Goldfields
At MLG, our roots run deep in the Goldfields, and our commitment to the Kalgoorlie-Boulder region goes beyond mining and haulage services.
As the year draws to a close, we are proud to reflect on the moments that brought our people together beyond the day-to-day operations. Across our sites and offices, our teams once again showed what it means to look after each other, support our communities, and create positive impact in meaningful ways. Here is a snapshot of the feel good moments that defined the end of our year.

We were proud to support the Shine Brighter Ball, an event that brought people together for an important cause while creating a night full of connection and positivity. MLG sponsored the photobooth and we were honoured to be able to captured plenty of smiles throughout the evening. The event was a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when communities come together to support those who need it most.

This year, our people rallied behind Movember with energy and purpose. Through the purchase of MLGxMovember shirts and the commitment of growing moustaches throughout the month, our teams raised $13,230 for men’s mental health and physical health. It was a strong display of solidarity, conversations, and genuine care across the business. Leaving the judging to our followers on social media, our Best Mo in the Biz was awarded to Murray Campbell, our Asset Manager in Kalgoorlie!

Our team was proud to support Workout 4 Mental Health in Kalgoorlie, raising awareness and funds for Black Dog Institute. With eight teams and 48 participants, including our own Kurt Laatz, IT Manager, pushing through a demanding physical and mental challenge, the event showcased resilience, teamwork, and community support. A big thank you to Fitstop Kalgoorlie for hosting an inspiring event that reinforced the importance of mental health and looking after one another.

Thanks to the generosity of our clients and vendors, we were able to host a Christmas raffle for all staff. The gifts received were shared across our Perth office, ensuring everyone had the chance to enjoy something special. It was a thoughtful way to recognise our people and celebrate the strong relationships we have built throughout the year. Plenty of laughs, excitement and smiling faces as tickets were drawn and gifts were shared, giving everyone a well deserved moment to pause and enjoy the lead up to the festive season.

Across our sites, teams embraced the festive season by decorating workspaces and creating Christmas trees filled with personal reminders of why we go home safe. Especially at this time of year, when the focus turns to family, friends, and the moments that matter most, safety remains our highest priority. These displays reflected more than Christmas spirit. They reinforced the importance of looking out for one another so everyone returns home safely at the end of every shift. Through creativity, teamwork, and shared purpose, our teams brought the festive spirit to site while keeping what truly matters front of mind.
In the lead up to the festive season, our teams came together to donate food and essential items to those doing it tough. Contributions were proudly made to Salvation Army, helping support local families and individuals during a time of increased need. The generosity shown across the business was a true reflection of our values.
These moments reflect more than just events on a calendar. They highlight the culture, generosity, and sense of connection that runs through our business. As we look ahead to the new year, we carry forward this same spirit of care, community, and shared purpose.
Thank you to everyone who contributed, participated, and supported these initiatives. Together, we continue to build a workplace we are proud to be part of.
