At MLG, our roots run deep in the Goldfields, and our commitment to the Kalgoorlie-Boulder region goes beyond mining and haulage services. As a proud local employer and supporter of regional growth, we are passionate about giving back to the communities that support us. Over the past few months, we’ve been actively involved in a range of initiatives that highlight our dedication to regional development, community engagement, and supporting the people who call the Goldfields home.

Silverstone Charity Golf Day Helping Raise Mental  Health Awareness

Last month, our team proudly attended the Lifeline Charity Golf Day, joining forces with other local organisations to raise much-needed funds for mental health support services. The day brought together industry leaders, community champions, and passionate individuals for a cause that hits close to home for many in the mining and resources sectors. As mental health remains a vital issue in Australia, it was an honour for MLG to participate in a day focused on connection, awareness, and support.

Major Sponsors of Golden Mile Art’s Winter Exhibition

We are proud to be major sponsors of Golden Mile Art’s latest exhibition, “Under 30: An Intimate Winter Showcase of Small Works with Cool Perspectives.” Running from Sunday, June 29 to Saturday, July 19, this all-ages exhibition showcases local creativity with the optional theme “Rain: It’ll go around.”

The exhibition, held during the school holidays, is a celebration of regional artistic talent across all mediums. To support and encourage participation, MLG has donated $800 in cash prizes, demonstrating our ongoing support for arts and culture in Kalgoorlie and the wider Goldfields.

The gallery launch was a great success and the tallying of the winners has begun. Cast your vote by attending the Artgold Gallery in Kalgoorlie-Boulder until 19th July 2025.

Strengthening Business Connections at the KBCCI Business After Hours

On June 18, MLG co-hosted the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KBCCI) June Business After Hours event at the historic Hannans Club, alongside our event partners Evolution Mining and Kalsigns.

The event was a standout evening of connection, collaboration, and community spirit. We thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to network with fellow KBCCI members, discuss challenges and opportunities in the region, and strengthen our ties with other businesses driving the Goldfields economy forward. Thank you to the KBCCI for creating space for meaningful engagement in Kalgoorlie’s thriving business scene.

Supporting Grassroots Motorsport with the Eastern Goldfields Kart Club

MLG is once again a proud sponsor of the Eastern Goldfields Kart Club (EGKC) for the 2025 season. As a long-term supporter of grassroots sport in the region, we recognise the value that clubs like EGKC bring to young drivers, families, and motorsport enthusiasts in Kalgoorlie-Boulder. The club plays an important role in fostering local talent and encouraging youth participation in safe, structured motorsport — and we’re excited to be part of their journey again this year.

Our Ongoing Commitment

Whether it’s through mental health awareness, the arts, local business leadership, or youth sports, MLG remains committed to creating positive impacts beyond the mine site. We’re proud to support initiatives that make Kalgoorlie and the wider Goldfields a more connected, inclusive, and vibrant place to live and work.

As we continue to grow our operations across WA’s mining regions, our community partnerships remain a core part of who we are — because at MLG, community is everything.
