This program aims to fund projects and support community groups that contribute to the wellbeing, environmental sustainability, and economic prosperity of these communities, ensuring they thrive alongside our business. Through active collaboration and support, we look forward to making a lasting, positive impact together.

Supporting Our Local Communities

MLG’s Community Engagement Grant Program is dedicated to fostering vibrant and sustainable communities by supporting projects, events, and initiatives across four key areas:

  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Arts and Education
  • Community Development and Culture
  • Environment

Community Grants

Our funding is designed to empower local communities by supporting initiatives that make a meaningful difference. At MLG, we see every grant as a partnership, and we are committed to working closely with successful applicants to help them achieve their project goals.

Over $700k donated and raised to local communities or groups!

Over the years, MLG has proudly supported a wide range of community initiatives, contributing to local well-being, inclusion, and resilience. In FY25 alone, we donated over $80,000 to programs and organisations across Western Australia, continuing our commitment to making a meaningful impact. This includes support for:

Eligibility

We welcome applications from:

  • Community groups, clubs, associations, and not-for-profit organisations that deliver genuine community benefit in areas where MLG operates.
  • Schools, sporting clubs, or charities seeking small donations, sponsorships, or in-kind support.

We cannot provide support for:

  • Individuals or personal expenses.
  • Political or religious activities.
  • General fundraising events or appeals.
  • Projects primarily commercial in nature.
  • Membership fees, wages, or travel not directly benefiting the community.
  • Activities that conflict with MLG’s values (safety, diversity, integrity, sustainability).

How Applications Are Assessed

Applications will be considered by MLG’s Community Engagement Committee based on:

  • Alignment to MLG’s community focus areas (sport & recreation, Indigenous, education, wellbeing, environment, diversity, essential services, community events)
  • Clear community benefit and outcomes
  • Ability to deliver the project successfully
  • Evidence of other partnerships or sponsors
  • How MLG’s support will be recognised

Application Form

We provide small donations and sponsorships to help build stronger, healthier, and more inclusive communities. Please note that applications are assessed quarterly, with outcomes advised within 8 weeks of round closure.
